I’m sorry, he’s not. He’s officially off that list (though honestly he was never really on it, for me). The only person he wanted dead was himself. At the core of it, he’s only a tormented guy who feels guilty for living when the woman he loved is only a memory. His revenge? Pfft. He was improvising. He would’ve much rather preferred Rumple kill him on the ship.
So then I want to bring up Kitsis’s quote:
"He’s either a villain trapped in a hero’s body, or a hero trapped in a villain’s body."
SO NOW THAT WE’VE BEEN SHOWN HE ISN’T A VILLAIN, ITS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE WE SEE THAT HE IS A HERO.
look, tonight was a lot of Hook lamenting his broken heart from the pores out, but that doesn’t undo the past 5 episodes, all the build up of Captain Swan and the lack of closure with the bean and Emma overall.
We knew this would happen. Hook NEEDS to address his motivations, his drive, and what he wants, and now, he’s forced to reevaluate everything.
But hold the fuck on to your hats because NEXT WEEK IS GOING TO BE JUST AS EPIC.
